1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website and your booking of services with In the Details. By placing a booking or request for a quote you agree to these terms.

2. Services

​

  • Detailing services are bookable online for fixed‑price packages.

  • Paint correction, ceramic coatings, and paint repair are quote‑only services and are not bookable online.

​

3. Booking, Deposits and Payment

​

  • A non‑refundable deposit is taken at checkout to secure your appointment and is deducted from the final balance.

  • The remaining balance is payable on completion by card or another agreed method.

  • If a pricing error is discovered, we will contact you before proceeding. You may accept the corrected price or cancel for a full refund of any amounts paid.

4. Rescheduling and Cancellations

​

  • Rescheduling: You can reschedule up to 48 hours before the appointment using the link in your confirmation email.

  • Cancellations: At least 7 days’ notice is required. Cancellations within 7 days may result in forfeiture of the deposit.

  • No‑shows or access issues: If we cannot access the vehicle or conditions prevent work, the deposit may be retained to cover lost time.

5. Preparation and Suitability

​

  • Please ensure safe, accessible parking. If applicable, water and power should be available.

  • Remove personal items from the vehicle prior to the appointment.

​

6. Vehicle Condition and Scope Changes

​

  • If the vehicle’s condition materially differs from the booking description, we may adjust the price, change the scope, or refuse service with deposit retention.

  • Severe contamination, odour remediation, and bodywork are outside standard packages unless agreed as add‑ons or quoted separately.

7. Guarantees and Liability

​

  • We use reasonable care and skill in delivering services. Except as required by law, we are not liable for pre‑existing defects or wear, or for indirect or consequential losses.

  • You must disclose known issues that affect safe working conditions (e.g., leaking seals, loose trims, electrical faults).

​

8. Photos and Records

​

  • Before/after photos may be captured for quality records. With your consent, selected media may be used for marketing. Consent can be withdrawn at any time.

9. Pricing Policy and Promotions

​

  • Promotions apply only during the stated period and cannot be combined unless specified.

11. Complaints

​

  • If you are unhappy with a service, contact us within 48 hours with photos so we can investigate and put things right.

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom. If you operate in Guernsey, we can update this to Guernsey law on request.
